The Shining has enjoyed great success as Novel and Movie, and has served s a source of inspiration or homage for dozens of other shows; for example The Simpsons. The hotel has a myriad of strange and otherworldly events take place; from the blood filled elevator, to the strangely unsettling twins, to bizarre events taking place in a particular room, and of course Redrum; enough said.

The Gold Room, The Overlook Hotel opens for guests in the Evening, or the unwinding hours. If you look closely at their closing time, you'll see that the Gold Room is open through the night and until noon on weekdays. Was this an accident, or by design? Is this revealing that something is not quite right in the Gold Room or with its charming bartender?
